I NEED HELP WITH HOW DO I TRY TO LEAVE A CONTROLLING FAMILY...I GOT MARRIED IN THE STATE OF KY...I HAD 3 KIDS FROM PREVIOUS MARRIAGE.THEN I HAD A CHILD FROME MY SECOND MARRIAGE. MY HUSBAND NOW HAS TRICK ME INTO SIGNING A PAPER IN FRONT OF A LAWYER SAYING THAT I CANT LEAVE THE STATE OF INDIANA..MY FAMILY WAS TAKING CARE OF MY OTHER CHILDREN IN KY AT THE TIME, WHILE WE TOOK THE CHILD WE HAVE TOGETHER TO SEE HIS FAMILY IN (INDIANA)..SO NOW IM STUCK I WANT OUT OF THE MARRIAGE AND I WANT TO GET BACK TO KY WHERE MY OTHER 3 CHILDREN R WAITING ON ME....HE SAYS IF I LEAVE WITH HER HE WILL PUT ME IN JAIL...HE HAS BEEN IN THE LOONY BIN TWICE SINCE THIS PAPER HAS BEEN SIGNED....I HAVE A WAY TO SNEAK TO KY BUT AM AFRAID OF LOSING ALL MY CHILDREN....WHAT SHOULD I DO? DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH TROUBLE I WILL GET INTO IF I LEAVE? I HAVENT MUCH MONEY...DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I SHOULD GO BACK TO KY AND FILE FOR DIVORCE AND EMERGANCY CUSTODY...I AM STUCK IN THE HOUSE WITH HIS GRANDMA THAT IS SUPPORTING HIM

Do you have a copy of this document? What exactly does it say?
Does it say that you cannot leave at all, or just take the child out of the state? How old is the child? Are you sure this person was really a lawyer?

Seek legal advice - Indiana does have a pro bono commission that lists lawyers that can give you free legal advice. Also you may want to contact the division of family & children and see if there is a way they can help you out.

How does someone TRICK you into signing a paper?
If your husband doe not have much money (mooches off of granny) how did he find the money to get this attorney to draw up these papers....
if you went to an attorney's office surely you managed to get this guys name or at least you know where the office is...
CALL HIM ask him what you signed.
why did you leave your other kids for such a person?
why would you marry someone who mooches off of his GRANDMOTHER ?
Stay where you are I doubt you kids will appreciate you playing more games with them till the next worthless man comes along
YOUR KIDS DESERVED BETTER!
Hopefully they are getting the love and affection from who ever you dumped them on to chase this looser.

I think you need professional legal help with this! You may have a case especially if he has been in a committed to a mental institution before.
