I am an American citizen but I do not like America anymore. I like India and I would like to movie to India and live there and start a family there.
Will I be welcome in India? I am a friendly person and respect the cultures and religions and traditions of India. I will do my best to be a responsible citizen of India.
Will it be possible to meet a bride to marry in India? Will her family allow her to marry a white person?
Will Indians ever accept me as "one of their own" or will I always be an "outsider"

Surely Indians will entertain peoples from foreign!
Our culture respects guest & treat them as gods.
You can lead a pious life here, people here are less materialist compared to westerners.
But i dont know about ur marriage prospects here.
Parents of a girl always look in for reliable boy & a secured married life for their girl.
So if you are a honest person & looking for long term commitment in married life, surely you will find a nice girl.
Here in India marriage is next part of life, not merely a part of life. So come here, first settle down yourself with other aspects & finally search for a girl. All the best!!!

India is an open country, if like anything you respect it it will respect you. As with acceptance there has been as far as I know any racist aspect in the country since independance. Even after white rule for all those years England is still respected.
I know many white folk who live in India and have done so for many years. They have lived happily, and would not consider themselves anything other than Indian.
Look at Sonia Gandhi, she adopted the country's customs and traditions, and she is loved by the Indian population.
However it is advisable to actually be knowledgable about the people and traditions before you make that step, os tradition rules the nation, and upsetting that is frowned upon.
As with marriage, as with anywhere in the world love is universal, if you find love you will marry.
Just be yourself and do what you thinkmakes your life happier, and what your heart feels is right.
