It's funny that you ask that question because I watched that game last night and during the replay of the fumble I noticed how damn shiny that ball was. I've been watching football for 20 years and never noticed a ball that looked like it was covered with wax or oil like that one. But no, I wouldn't go so far as to say it was doctored; Romo just blew it. But the ball for FG attempts is NOT the same ball they used during the game. They bring one in from the "game ball bag" on the sidelines. So, while I don't think it wa doctored, I do think it was slicker than the one he had been using.

I dont think the ball was doctored, but the play was eerie similar to the play on Monday Night back in the 90s when Tommy Hutton fumbled a FG snap and couldn't do anything with the ball after his fumble.
Just gotta remember that anything can happen.

Romo seemed to take the entire blame himself, and he did not complain about the slippery nature of the ball. He is experienced at spotting the ball, so he would have said something if something seemed off.

That is ridiculous to assume. The snap was perfect and he was actually able to grab a hold of it. He could not set it down. Plus game balls have no chance of being tampered with.

Definitely. On the play before the kick, if you look real close on the sidelines you can see an individual resembling 'Badgeman' (the alleged 2nd JFK assassin on the grassy knoll) switch balls when no one else is looking.

It was raining yesterday. But, Romo was probably just fantasizing about his next date with Jessica.

Shut up. No, if it were slick do you think he would have caught it at all? I love the cowboys and I was so happy when they lined up for that field goal. But Romo is horrible and he screwed it up for them.

Hell no, he just choked, remember the refs are the last one to touch the ball between plays, they would have noticed something
