First off you will need a whole new motherboard since they don't make processors using that socket anymore. Then you will need new RAM to go with the new motherboard. They are selling Dells computers for as low as $379 right now, so I think you can see where I am going with this.

its quite easy first make a small research what kind of processor are you gonna buy and after that make sure they use the same sockets once you have purchased the processor you just have to remove the heatsink or the cooler remove the cpu and install the new one replace the cooler and your done..

check what socket your motherboard has, go online ad buy one with the same socket. Remove heatsink/fan, remove old processor, slide in new processor, apply thermal paste, reset heatsink/fan.

Check the owner's manual for your motherboard. It gives you the maximum speed of processor your motherboard can take.

1st you will have to get the spec's on the mother board and see the maximum size cpu you can install in there.2nd just swap it out it is under the heat sink.there all different
