I work as a CSR and I notice people who are from India or are Indian-American have VERY long names? Do the names mean something? not to be rude but some names look like a raffle of the alphabet, what gives?

India is a very big country and there are many religions and cultures there. Well mostly the names in northern India are not long. Examples: Shaily, Amit, Ashish, Tarun, Vikas, Swati etc... But the names of people living in Southern regions of India tends to be long. The reason behind this is : they put their village name --> father name --> their own name --> last name or some other combination of that, which makes the name really long. That is the way their culture is..

Poisa These names mean weak, tender or soft in Germanic Lenda, Linda, Lynda, Ros, Rosaleen, Rosalin, Rosalina, Rosalind, Rosalinda, Rosalinde, Rosaline, Rosalyn, Rosalyna, Rosalynd, Rosalynn, Rosalinn, Roselyn, Roselynn, Roselynne, Roslyn, Roz The name Uddanta is a boys name in Sanskrit and it means 'Highly contolled' but you can use it as you want lol. For the boyfriend I would think of extremely masculine, popular names. Like Tyler, Dylan. Things like that. Good luck!:)

You must be working with people from south India. They usually have their father's name and their village name within the name!
Something like Krishnamurty Ramaswamy Iyengar.
