Does anyone know what places hire teens at the age of 14.?

hi im 14 and i need a job, desperatley, does anyone knoe a place that hires at 14?

It depends on what state you are in. For instance, in Utah, it's considered child labor to hire anyone under the age of 15, and if you are under the age of 18, you can't work more than 30 hours a week.

If your state allows 14 year olds to work, try checking at fast food places, or local grocery stores. They are the most likely to hire younger people.

Try your parent's friends or relatives who may own a business, also your high school career center. You will need a work permit from school so the employer can hire you at 14. There are hour restrictions in the child labor laws to protect you from being exploited or taken advantage of. I worked at a paint store when I was 14. I know this isn't exciting but many of my friends mowed lawns or washed neighbor's cars for money. Check with some neighbors who may need odd jobs done, getting groceries for those that are older, etc. I remember Opie on The Andy Griffith Show did that when he was 14. Good luck. Anywhere thats fast food. Theres only but so much one can screw up regardless of how old they are working at them places. Burger king, taco bell, mcdonalds will hire anybody. Theres not to many jobs you can get at that age. You can work for the police and become a NARC. They will have you go into convenience stores and stores like Walmart and try and buy alcohol, music, and video games underage. Look into it. Its good that you want to work. Good luck!

Well your really to young to have a job. You havent really matured enough to know how to handle certain situations. I know your saying oh no your wrong im not young blahhh i said the same thing haha. Enjoy your childhood as long as you can. But if you must find a job the only real way to find out is to go around to your local bussineses and ask.
