Roll 2 pieces of cardboard up and wedge them in between the window and the door rubber at the bottom of the window.
This should work until you can afford to have it repaired properly.

If it is not an electric operated window (you failed to mention if it's manual or electric) then you can use a piece of tape to stick the handle to the inside of the door.

My Saturn did the same thing. I had the choice of repairing it with a new window regulator (the arms and gears that make it go up and down) they can be pretty expensive and tough to get in and out without the right tools. I think it uses pop rivets to hold it in place. Or I could wedge something between the window and door. I chose that. Used a small screwdriver. You couldnt really see it so it didnt make my car look too banged up.

Why is the window falling down be itself?? Seems like you need a repair job if that is happening...and you better get it done quick to prevent the window from breaking!!

well If it were mine I would take it apart and fix it. but since you asked this I'll give you the abvious answer...take it to a shop and have them fix it or jam a kotex in it to keep up.
