If you pruchase an item it will say on it where it was made, U.S.A., Mexico etc. How would one go about figuring out where there gasoline came from. Meaning where it was exported from and by what company. Is there good website that breaks down all of this information?

I think that many of the major oil companies say where their oil comes from on their websites or in financial disclosures, if you're that interested. Otherwise, the only way to answer this question is to see where the oil company you are buying from has holdings. Then you can make an educated guess about where the oil they are selling comes from.
This becomes more difficult if you buy from a third party reseller that is not owned by a major oil company, but it should still be doable if you go through the company's financial statements.

Petroleum is a non-solid fossil fuel, found in formations in the earth.

It is found in porous rock formations in the upper strata of some areas of the Earth's crust.

The most common method of obtaining petroleum is extracting it from oil wells found in oil fields.
