Is it possible to view old student records from schools in Glasgow circa 1972..?

Old log books are held at the Mitchell library. If you want pupil records you will need to go to the Education Department which you can get through the main Glasgow City Council switchboard or through

It depends where the records are held. If they are still held at the school, they will probably only let you view your own records (data protection...)
