I had my daughter on September 26, 2006. I had to be cut from hole to hole. The next day I felt all this pain in my crotch area. But something just didn't feel right. The nurse came it and said that My stitches had come out. So I was left with this 5 in long, 3 inch wide gap. To make a long story short, the gap caused me to fever. So they kept me from Tuesday until Saturday. And I have to see my doctor every week to make sure it doesn't get infected. But oh my god does it hurt! It’s getting better though =) With the kelp of the pain killers, now I can sit and not cry. But it keeps getting infected. I soak 4-5 times a day, I put my 4 creams on it every time I go to the bathroom. They want to cut it back open and restitch it, should I give it a try? Can't be any worse then it already is.

It sounds pretty bad and if they want to restitch it I think I'd let them, I hope they have you on an antibiotic it sounds infected maybe on the inside though it's not visible.

Maybe you should consider a C-section next time. You'd be almost fully recovered by now.

Let them restitch. I cant for the life of me figure out why the hell they did not do that the first time!!!!! It will hurt like hell but it will definitely cut down on any further infection. Good luck. owww!

maybe you are messing with it too much. not allowing the body to heal. but then again it could be staph infection, especially considering the area. my mom had back surgery and her wound kept opening due to infection. they finally had to lave it open and stuff it until it healed from the inside out. i'd let them fix it pronto..that's not a place you want to get scar tissue!

How is your little baby girl doing?
This sounds like your worst nightmare, I'm sorry. As you said, it can't get any worse. I suggest you opt for the redo before it's too late to correct it.
