No the supercharger will not shorten the life of the engine.
The only way that it can shorten the life of the engine is if you keep it way out of tune, you over boost the engine, or if you drive aggressively all the time.
A supercharger is actually vacuum operated. So that means when you are driving around town normally you will not see any boost. Now once you step on the gas pedal it will then go from vacuum to boost, and that's when you feel the power. So basically if you are driving normal your vehicle is going to feel as if it was stock.
Now engine ware can be cause by numerous factors. When you drive aggressively it will harm your engine in the long run. This is true if your car is stock or supercharged. So basically driving patterns play a huge factor on ware and tare, don’t matter if you are supercharged or not. I'm a strong believer that when your engine is supercharged it does not have to work as hard to produce HP, so your engine is not working as hard. I feel this helps out in the reliablity.
That is why you see a lot of cars like Ford, GM, Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW, etc…that comes supercharged right out the factory. Because supercharging is a great way to get reliable HP if done correctly.
The bottom line is if you follow the normal maintenance of your vehicle like oil changes and tune ups then you will be okay. Make sure when you do go supercharged you get a complete system that comes with all the tuning and fuel components. As long as you do not abuse your vehicle it will last very long.
Just to give you a heads up. I have two cars that are supercharged. One has over 200,000 miles and the other has a little over 50,000. Both are still running great…and I do drive pretty aggressively.

The only way you gonna shorten the life of the engine is going hard and not keeping the engine tune up e.g- oilchanges and keeping fesh coolant anti freeze in the radiator. they say 10,000kms change your oil I did mine every 10,000kms and kept using motorup every oil change to protect rings and the cylinder bore+bearings and crank and cam since these work harder in an engine. I drove at least 10,000km per month and i love getting the pedal stuck to the floor most of the times. and she stil goes strong after 200,000kms. I believe any engine can see a 1,000,000kms if looked after, the heart of the car is the engine, if you look after the heart your heart will look after you.

depends on how much psi you are running. most engines can handle around 8-12 psi w/out any detrimental affects. any higher than that and your engine will have a shorter life.

it won't as long as you don't abuse the engine, it will just give it more power, but if you use that extra power all the time it will wear out sooner.

Yes, it will. It builds cyl. pressure which wears the rings and cyl. walls out faster.
