why do woman go back to guys that lie, and abuse them, mentally, and say things that hurt them, why do they go back with them?

my theory is that the guy hurts them, so its like he has the power

Women who have a submissive personality accept and go back to people with this kind of behavior because they think they identify some kind of leadership. They may have some problems with their self esteem. It might be genetics too. Think about wolfs when the alfa male/ female growls the rest are coming to please him/her. We are not wolfs but we are part of the animal kingdom. If they are smart enough they will end up with a kind and loving partner. If they don't identify the pattern they will marry an abuser. Healthy relationships are based on kindness and love. Nobody should suffer.

Guys like that never start out being that way. The women in that situation have seen the good in the man and hold onto that. Even when he does wrong they hold onto the good they saw in him. The guy often uses that as a way back in.

I think it's because we're use to them and are afraid to move on. I feel that we wasted a few years with him and I'm tired of going from one guy to the next. I also feel because I'm getting older and want to settle down even if my boy friend treats me like crap and we argue a lot. That's just my opinion.

women (like me) think that this person dosent really mean it....that the have such a messed up life that they need someone to be there for them....and the guys beg so much to get back with them...it gets to you...you feel sorry for them after awhile

Umm..Im one of the idiots who did that so I will tell you why....
If the guy makes her fall in love with him before doing this then its love-you just go back.
If not, then its over.
Dont be like that. Please dont because what happened to me ruined me for a long time.
