Beleive it or not, but I am going through things now for a spring/summer rummage sale. Would you buy used teething rings or should I just toss them out?? My daughter is 17 months and has most of her teeth.

Didn't mean to be gross...just wanted to know your opinion. I thought maybe, after a good washing perhaps in a dishwasher, someone would want them...but, you're right....tha'ts pretty sick!

Personally I don't see the difference between them and other toys. I mean there are teeth marks on some of the toys on my exersaucer that I got second had. Who cares? Babies eat the sand at the playground. At least the exersaucer toys go in the dishwasher!

Unfilled teethers make great dog chew toys (for smaller dogs) ;-)

If you have a bunch of nice ones in good shape maybe a women's shelter would want them.

AWWW come on!!! I am a gerom freak... but as long as there are no chew marks and they have been sanitized.. they are fine..
and besides.. better for a family to have a used one then none at all..!!!
There are the less lucky, that would be hapy to have them... if they dont sell... then fine.. toss them...
but no sense in throwing away somthing that a less lucky baby could use just because others think there not good enough..
From a rn's stand point of veiw.. new is always best,, but who knows how many people handled it on the store????
dents or chews and scrapes leave room for bacteria, but if its ib good condition... wash it yourself.. and ofcourse recommend them washing it again (as whi knows how many other will pick it up to look at it) AND YES... sell it.. its ok.. if no one wants it.. then fine..
put it in a box and label it 25 cents.. if it goes.. you know you cleaned it first and id the right thing... and your baby was healthy anyhow... if not.. then who cares.. toss it!!

personally I wouldn't, but ppl would buy anything for example a friend of my mother-in-laws went to garage sale after my son was born, and bought me a used potty and it it was filthy i threw it out (i suppose it was the thought that counts) but i wouldn't want my to use a used potty for my son, just think of it this way would you want you daughter to chew on a teething ring someone else used. I know I wouldn't want my son to.

Sell them... I bought some at a garage sale for my dog (he was just a pup). As long as they aren't the liquid filled kind, I think it would be fine. I mean, if someone buys them, it isn't necessarily for another human baby.... my dog loved the ones i bought, and it was a lot better than having him chew up my shoes!!

I would just toss them. You may know your child don't have anything but the person buying won't. Besides they are usually pretty cheap to buy new anyways.

teething rings are fine to sell.

They are durable and as long as they look pretty clean I would buy them if I needed them.

Anyone should sterilize things like that by boiling anyway, new or used.

Try it, if no one wants them, toss it out!

sure they do nevertheless make teeting rings. i take advantage of them each so often. they don't incredibly help however. i take advantage of it greater as a distinctive stimulation. interior the summertime it incredibly is an incredible and secure way for a sprint one to chill out off. My first daughter enjoyed them not frozen.

Honestly, people would buy them... you'd be surprised at what people will buy at garage sales! But personally, I wouldn't sell them. I would feel weird selling something that was constantly in my child's mouth. If you choose to sell them, boil them (if they are durable enough) or soak them in bleach water and then rinse well. Good luck!

I can't imagine someone buying used teething rings - they don't cost much to buy after all. However, after proper sanitizing I would give them for donation.

I wouldn't try to sell them. They probably wouldn't be bought because the bacteria and other germs from inside of your baby's mouth are still on them and any mother would avoid that. Think of it this way---would you take a sip from a glass a total stranger was drinking from?
