there are many reasons for that..
1.India got complacent after the first win...
2.The batsmen(esp sehwag) did not contribute..
3.The team does not really care about the results, because they have lot of advertisements and stuffs to bother!! Why bother about cricket..
4.Our players excepting a few will only perform if they are going to be dropped(eg. sehwag, Laxman...)
5. we can't deny the fact that SA is a super team..
Taking into view all the above factors, we must feel happy for the test win..I think that is the biggest surprise of the year..

Oh boy! Same question everytime India loses series or a match. Everybody has reasons but problem is that the solutions are not forthcoming. It is the medication to the problem that is required most.

bcoz of sending off pathan, coz if he wud hav been ther atleast the last few batsmen cud hav made up the indian score more, even if sreesanth tried his best, but no one can be like pathan.
the other reason behind it is, poor team management. i think india needs 2 gud coaches, 1 for batting n the other for bowling. if ther r 2 coaches, then ther will be utmost care for each individually.

Because all the batsmans didn't perform well.if they would have put on 75-100 more runs then the bowlers would have got more confidence and India would have won.

According to me there is a problem of over confidence with the indian players who after winning one match forgets that there is lot more to improve to win the series.
One should not get excited with one match win.

First India is not in a consistent mood...
sudden rising and falling is not good for a team.....
It should have consistent performence...
Having above 400 runs in 1st innings .... which team is taking 160 in second innings....
Blame goes to batsmen only..............
