I work at a gov place

1'st 0600 - 1400
2'nd 1400 - 2200
3'rd 2200 - 0600

1/2 hour overlap for passdown and gossip - called non paid lunch break.

In many companies where they work shifts, it's 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7, so that people work the same number of hours without overlapping. .

days are usually 8-4 or 9-5, night shift is usually 12-8. then there is swing which is usually 4-12. hope this helps. there can be variances in this scheduling- this is the most typical.

Not sure how this applies to cars and transportation, maintenance and repairs.

Day shift, 8 to 5.
RM shift, 4 to midnight
Night shift, midnight to 8 am

it totaly depends on the country/region and industry.
normaly day shift is 9-5 it can be 8-4 as wel while night shift varies depending upon the region/industry
