I'm having this, sort of, recurring dream thing. I'll fall half asleep, then I will see something like a bug or spider on my wall or bed/pillow. Usually, I'll calmly get up and turn the light on to check it, and then I wake up and see that there was nothing there.

Now, I know that I am imagining it, because I'm afraid of spiders and usually would not calmly get up if I saw one right in front of me.

What does that mean in a dream dictionary thing?

I'm not so sure what it means, exactly... Something like that happened to me before.. What do you do before you go to bed?
If you do the same basic thing, try doing something different...

It's hypnogogia. I explained this elsewhere, so if you search on me you'll find it, or search on hypnogogia. It's not uncommon and it's harmless.
