The solar system is part of the Milky Way Galaxy, and the galaxy is spinning, but its not because of the gravity at the center of the galaxy. Yes, there are lots more stars in the center and there probably is a massive black hole there, but that is not the reason why the stars in the galaxy are spinning. If that was the case, the stars on the outside will be spinning a lot slower than the stars on the inside like how Mercury spins fast around the sun but Pluto spins really slow.
The whole galaxy is spinning as a disk. Yeah, the center is spinning a little faster, and that is why we get the spiral effect, but there is something called dark matter that is holding the galaxy together.
So the answer is NO, the galaxy is not revolving around another object... but it is going around WITH the galaxy. It completes one revolution in 200 million years.
Some one above said galaxy is going around in the universe... I don't think that's right (at least I never heard of that). All the galaxies are moving away from each other because the universe is expanding (because of reminant of the big bang and force of dark energy)

The solar system is in a system revolving around the galaxy. Which is in a system revolving around the universe. Theoretically there are more universes but we have not actually been able to see beyond a couple of galaxies over.

Umm, we can see billions of galaxies, not "a few galaxies over"
The Sun, like said, is revolving around the center of mass in the galaxy.

The sun, like all the stars in this galaxy, rotate around the center of the galaxy. But it takes such a long time to make one rotation that we don't notice.

yes the hole solar system is rotating around the center of the milky way
it takes about 200 million years to complete 1 rotation so the hole solar system is moving at a rate of about 140 mi / 220 k per second
