buying a aquarium?

anybody know of a website that sells 125 or 150 gallon fish tanks cheap? somewhere near springfield, illinois

I wouldn't buy on line. You're thinking of getting a filter. One day it breaks, you email the company you bought it from and they tell you to send it back. A week later they send you a new one. A week without a filter is a long time for fish. You buy it from the store, one day it breaks. You go to the store and they replace it, there and then. It's always best to buy from a shop, rather than on line. Also your fish store needs your business, they hardly make any profit from selling fish, because of the maintenance and cost of keeping all those tanks running. And they make less of a profit than the on line store on the dry goods, tanks, food, filters etc. Support the local fish shops otherwise one day they won't be there.

I like glass cages online. You cna check their schedule of upcoming events and if they are going to be at a reptile show near you you can order the tank and pick it up at the show to save the freight.

If you want a used tank, check Craigslist.com for your area. I bought a reasonably priced aquarium there. Craigslist is local so you can go pick it up for free in most ads.

Check in your local swap sheet or penny saver,classified adds. There's alot of tanks out there that people want to get rid of

Check out Big Als Online (www.bigalsonline.com), www.aquabid.com or hope for the best on eBay. Though for that big, after the shipping cost, you might as well buy from a store.

try e-bay they usually have a good variety of aquruims..and im not sure but at my local petsmart, i know they carry thoes sizes! good luck
