Condoms can be up to 98 percent effective against PREGNANCY if used properly and on a consistent basis. They do not protect against all STD, such as genital warts and herpes.

There are also many theories that condoms don't prevent HIV/AIDS as previously thought. I'm researching this myself, so I can't say for sure how true it is or not. The notion is that the holes in condoms that aren't seen by the eye are still too big to prevent a microscopic virus such as Aids from slipping through to the other partner. I suggest you try looking it up on Google...but continue to wear condoms to be on the safe side...As far as I know, the only time a condom didn't work for me was when I didn't wear one, lol.

If you are buying condoms don't buy them at the dollar store. My cousin bought some there and I guess they were old because it caused her to be pregnant. She says there must have been a little hole somewhere. You also have to know how to put it on or else it will break with the friction if you aren't lubricated or too rough. They also don't work to prevent aids and stds.

Well, they are't fail proof. They aren't 100% effective. I would have told you the same thing. You do want to know about something that isn't a 100% right? You have to understand that there are a lot of diseases spreading out there, including aids. Our world isn't safe. Be careful with yourself!

it does work but it only helps 98% of it. so if you're really unlucky(or lucky) you may be one of those 2% and get pregnant.
