wrong question -- why would your hypothetical war be on peanuts and not on peanut allergies. the war on allergies has been declared (it is called medicine). the same principle can applied in so many other cases, simply distinguishing between the general and the particular...

Good Lord, yes!! Tell Bush those peanuts are really weapons of mass destruction and he'll have the troops at every peanut farm in the country ferreting out those wicked peanuts. And, its almost certain he'll want to force some form of democracy on them as well. Bring in the flamethrowers, burn 'em all out!! They're a threat, no doubt about it.

my son can't bring peanuts to school. my nephew is allergic but smart enough to know not to eat something if he doesn't know whats in it and has known that since he was 3
