I don't think that has any thing to do with it as I think we are all apart of this problem. I don't believe in finger pointing at just any one group of people. I don't think that a person's appearance has any thing to do with that.
That question alone that you have asked puts people on the defensive and also offends others. It's all about what the choices that people make not their looks. Also cost is a factor because people buy things they can afford.
Change can only happen when people set an example and be that example. That's what I think and the only way is to inform people and get people interested. First off those who are talking about it have to set the example for those who don't.
If all of hollywood and those who are higher positions set the example then maybe others would follow. Younger people are influnced by those who are the example.
Here's one lady that seems to be making a difference here in Canada. Maybe you could go on her show? (She's talked about a number of issues from clothing swap parties from people's closets to organic living.)
You seem to have much of the same ideas in common. How many talks shows in the States are actually talking about it and informing the public?
I don't know if there are or aren't but this show seems to focus on variety and she does talk about important issues. She had a guest on who talked about global warming which is something I am sure you could relate to seeing as that is something you are focused on that issue a lot.

Another thing when speaking to a group of people out here is to keep in mind we all think differently and have different personalities.

By the way I liked your characters that you portrayed on family ties and titanic. I am glad that Hollywood didn't stigmatize you just as a child actor. It's sad to see that some people in hollywood have been treated like that.

As facetious. as the intent of your remark is, there might be a kernel of truth to it. In the third world, we can speculate there is a higher percentage of unattractive people because of a lack of medical care, proper diet, some interbreeding, and lack of discretionary time and money to spend on vanity. Its also a statistical fact that given how lax pollution laws are in these third world countries, they produce a lot of the pollution in the world. Hence, in an indirect way, your assumption makes sense.

Yes, unattractive people invented global warming to get attention they would not otherwise receive. Look at Al Gore, talk about an inconvenient truth...
