stretch marks are genetic per my doctor. Chances are if your mother had them you will too! if not then congrats! I used the lotion anyway, because my belly would itch me like the dickens. It helped, and it helped me notice more quickly when the baby was first moving! Congrats on your pregnancy, and may you have a quick and painless labor and a healthy child!

The truth about stretch marks is that either you're going to get em and have em or ya aren't......sounds sucky but that's just the way life is sometimes.....
I know it's hard to let go of the notion that you are goin to have back your "perfect" body after pregnancy, but if it makes you feel any better, I got some lotion from a girlfriend specifically for stretchmarks, and I used it religiously, still never did a damn thing...
ok, so that wasn't so positive, focus on the brand new life within your belly rather than how it looks on the outside, trust me, you'll be much happier...

Palmers Lotion for Stretch Marks-- works awesome! You don't really need to worry about it just yet, but if you'd like to use it now it's okay since it's a great all-over body lotion. As you get bigger, use it daily after you shower- use a fairly thick layer and rub it in well. I did not get a single stretch mark with my last pregnancy (we'll have to see with this one!) Good luck, and congrats!

coco butter helps make your skin soft, but nothing will keep you from stretch marks, you will get them either way [unless your lucky and your skin is stretchy so you dont get em] but its good to use the cocobutter because cocobutter has something in it that can make your stretch marks look not as noticeable and not as dark cause some of em can be very dark..so start that asap.
you can get anything like this at any drug store or department store where lotions are sold. good luck.

there isnt anything you can put 'on' your skin for stretch marks--
stretch marks start/form in the middle layer of skin, that is too far down for any kind of lotion or cream to get at.
they do fade after a while, but the only thing to actually get rid of or diminish them is laser surgery, that is the only thing that can penetrate the skin past the first layer

There are products out there for stretch marks but I just used baby oil. just something to keep it moisturized. And yes I'd start it now.

do you have stretch marks? i don't think any cream will help until strtch marks are present. and if you get stretch marks, consider them a blessing that you had a child.

I gained 80 pounds with my daughter, i have stretchmarks EVERYWHERE! I asked my doctor what was best to use for them and she said your skin either stretches, or it doesn't. Some woemn get lucky and others dont.
