I will be 18 yrs old this august. Is that great? I dont know. I mean are there any advantages of seeing the real world and doing stuff that your parents always not told you to do. Actually I am a good girl prototype. I do alot stuff but not any real bad stuff like other teenagers. Will there be any adavntages of being an adult for me? Please tell me about your eighteenth birthday and how life changed after it?

When I turned 18 in *****, it wasn't all that great. I didn't have a party or anything, it was just a normal birthday...sadly. I actually enjoyed my 19th birthday when I had a party. But back to 18, umm, it's not all THAT great. sure you get to vote and buy the lotto tickets to win a million or so, but there's also alot of responsibility becoming of age. I actually just enjoyed it quietly and came to the reallization quietly too! Sure, my parents and family and friends were all proud, but then it was time for me to step up and be the adult I had to be...and that took some time. Well into my 18s I should say.

Figure out what you want to do and join the Air Force and get a job, related to what you want to do in the real world. You get a full time job, with some decent green, coming in. You travel and party and see the world. Then at 21, you can get out, go to college, as you will have the GI Bill and be more mature.

I will be 18 February 22nd and I am pretty excited. It's officially you becoming an adult. You are able to vote, gamble, buy cigarettes, go to clubs, I mean it all depends about what you want to do with the advantages. Enjoy!

turning 18 is good but adulthood didn't actually sink in until later. You can do alot more with yourself now, but you have to be careful with the "rights/priviledges" you are given with becoming an adult.
