A little more detailed: My boyfriend was deported from CA, and he got married in Calipatria Prison in 92, and we have a 3 year old daughter and want to get married in Mexico (baja California). He needs to get a divorce, but we don't know how to go about it. She has denied to get the divorce (she is an American Citizen...as I am). Does any one know, how we can go about it...he can't just cross the border and get a divorce, we need help. Any information would be grateful. We have been told, that we need to hire in attorney in Tijuana...but we are not sure if that is correct.

thanks

Normally, all marriages outside of the United States are not recognized by the U.S.. government. However, if the first wife is an American citizen; then there would be some problems. Find out for sure if that wedding performed in the CAlipatra Prison was indeed legal. Was it performed by an ordained minster or the Justice of the Peace.? Where there marriage certificates drawn?

Was the wedding vows taken with good intentions. Usually Mexican weddings are not acknowledged.

Marriage won't give up his deportation. Since he re-entered the nation after I anticipate was once earlier deported, he has now dedicated a prison. He may not be getting authorized popularity each time within the close long run, if ever. He shall be deported and given a 20 yr ban for the re-access. If you wish to be in combination, higher % your luggage and transfer to Mexico.
