Our Corporate/Republican sponsored Puppet Gov't in Iraq has failed at every turn, and yet a 30-year deal with our Big Oil entities to privatize Iraq's Oil is in the works and almost up for vote.

What do you think will happen there NOW?

Where is this story being reported in the United States?

This story was published today--give it's impact three days to fester and Karl Rove has done it again!! Wake up America!!

First and foremost you contradicted yourself. you said you could not find these stories in the free press. that is obviously wrong since you found them. If you where infering to finding them in the newspaper or on television then you would be correct. that is because you must be employed by those organizations to get your stories published or aired.

as for the war being about greed... how much do you pay for gas at the pump. would you like to pay what other countries pay per gallon. my bad, most countries are paying 3 to 4 dolloars a liter. that would be 6 to 8 dollars a gallon. if you think it is about grred then maybe you should be out there pushing everyone to stop using cars that run on gas. while you are at it you also will need to curb the use of oil based heating products. and for good measure you will need to stop the production of vulcanized rubber and a host of plastic produsts.

I would go on with the list of things that will be hit hard if we give up the oil from the middle east but the list is quite long. So the bottom line becomes. are you will to escalate your cost of living by as much as 50% to stop he war in Iraq. better yet the question needs to be, can anyone here even afford to pay that price. since the beggining of time we have made sacrifices in the name of personal gain. How many wars have been fought throughout history for no other reason than to have what someone else does. where was the outrage when saddam was killing people. where was the outrage when stalin starver millions of his people to death in the baltic states for no other reason than thier leaders objected to his plan of distribution of food in thier countries. As you critisize others for being greedy, you yourself are commiting the same sin. Government must act for the good of the majority, even if they don't like it themselves, and even if it hurts a portion of the people while they are at it. someone will always profit from others losses. the only question is will the rest of us reap any benefit from this in the end.

(A) Who owns "The Independent"
(B) What is their angle ?

In the article they are happy to report "facts" with absolutely no
mention of sources. Not even the old standby " a person close to the situation, who requested anonimity".

Complete and utter bile.
Find another reason for the war, ok ? I don't whole-heartedly support it, but to think it's about oil is short-sighted, at best.

he's unquestionably singing a distinctive song for the reason that his retirement. one might desire to spend countless hours looking up cases whilst he stated the might desire to do away with Saddam, unfastened the Iraqi human beings and halt the strengthen of terrorism interior the ME because of the fact the justifications for our going into Iraq. And, the two way, he for sure did not disagree with our reasons. He became a prepared participant for day one until he retired.

Yeah.. we really blew it back in Gulf War One back in '90. The first war for oil. The Kuwait thing. We completely spaced on the oil and left without it. What were we thinking? Re-do time.
