He was great with the 49ers, going to three pro bowls and putting up stats as good as Montana and Young. When the 49ers went downhill because their salary cap issues, he went to two sucky teams, (Detroit and Cleveland). Now he is back with a good team, showing againg how good he is. I am really pulling for him to win the Super Bowl.

Actually, he put up some numbers in some stats that were better than both Montana and Young. I am a 49er fan too. And as far as Detroit and Cleveland, those teams suck no matter who the QB is. I really think he should be a starter.

Garcia was hot in San Francisco, however, his stint in Detroit caused him to fall greatly off the radar of QB's to get. Don't forget the short stop at Cleveland. He is an average player, but he has the ability to bring a team to play. And no he never was quite statistically good as Montana and Young, but he did what he had to in order to win games. He is in an organization and a team that fits his style of play. I am a 49er fan, I was sad to see him go due to the salary cap, however, I wish he goes all the way to prove to Eagles fans that Macnabb is not their franchise QB. They can win without him.

I think it boils down to what experts consider his height and arm strenght. SF made a huge mistake letting him go. No one can make Detroit or Cleveland look good. Detroit needs to fire Millen ( Freaking idiot) Cleveland? ( Who knows?) It was not Jeff's fault. Cleveland supporting cast was terrible. I think he excels in the West Coast Offense. I took him in my fantasy team when McNabb went down and I won. He has won 6 games in a row! WOW! that is a great job for any QB.Jimmy Johnson needs to say he is sorry to that guy. He bashed him 5 weeks in a row. I think the Eagles win next week. Not sure of they can beat the bears? That would be something. I will root for him. He has heart, guts and I think he is a future hall of famer. It will happen. Especially if he gets on a good team that needs a vet QB next year. Maybe Washington? Miami, Just not the Raiders.... Yikes..... Go Jeff!!!!!!!!!
P.S
McNabb would not have taken them this far! You could tell he was jealous on the sidelines during the game. Jeff had to ask Mcnabb for the photos of the defense formations! Seriously! I think people forget that the team was 4-5 when Jeff took over. He deserves more respect.

He went to the Pro Bowl based on the name of his team as well. He wasn't considered that great on the 49ers as I remember it. He didn't get the team very far. Oh and don't give me anything about who he followed because Young made his name even though he followed Montana. Don't worry though Garcia won't get much further.

Yea, The Eagles are on a roll with Garcia right now. He is a very decsent QB and he can definitely spot up for McNabb's injury. 10 TDs and 2 Interceptions. Very well done. I'm a bears fan. That's alot better compared to number of Interceptions that Grossman has thrown off for the team.

People shouldn't be surprised he has been to a couple pro bowls when he played with the 49ers. Jeff Garcia is a good steady quarterback. One thing I think he is good at is moving in the pocket and he doesn't make too many stupid decisions, if there is not nothing to pass to, he uses his legs either to run it or run out of the pocket and throw it away. 49er fan here by the way, man oh man ex, 49ers making good and bad headlines......T.O. in Dallas (not good news) and Jeff Garcia in Philly (good news) Dallas out and Eagles still in!!!!! Good job to the whole Eagles organization.

No, Garcia is a seasoned veteran. He played in the CFL for quite a bit and has done very well, might of even won a grey cup (not too sure about that). And he also has done fairly well in the NFL, you can see by his QB Rating and career NFL stats. He is experienced, and a great back up, good starter...the end

because he basically has been out of the NFL with sucky teams like Cleveland and Detroit and hasn't been in the spotlight lately. he hasn't started in like 4 years with a good team and he never showed that he was good at all at detroit and cleveland.

Not really. He was a good quarterback in San Fran. He didn't do **** in Detroit or Cleveland, but who does? He also has a good team around him. Philly has a better all around group of receivers and Westbrook is effective.

Like any NFL Quarterback, Garcia is as good as the Eagles' offensive line, receivers, and running backs let him be. . . mostly the offensive line.
Second to that, he's as good as the defense of the teams he plays against allow him to be.
I can't think of a single quarterback that can put a single point on the board for his team by himself.
