I live near St. Louis and I have been a Sprint user for years. I have never had the problems with them that people are always talking about, like rude customer service. I have needed to call them maybe 2 times ever (because I don't have many problems) and my issues have always been resolved in a professional manner. My mom has Cingular and while the call quality is good, she often has issues with her bill. My brother dropped Cingular due to billing issues and he now uses Verizon (but he leaving them soon because they are too expensive for him). Based on those experiences, I would say to go with Sprint.

Sprint I have a couple of buddies who have Cingular , sorry had Cingular but changed plans due to lots of dropped calls, bad customer service, and the phones are always having problems with hearing and stuff, or so they say but personally, I have verizon wireless which is pretty awesome. so if u only have to choose between those two choose sprint.

If I could start over I would choose Cingular. They have rollover minutes. Some months I don't use all my minutes but some times I do go over minutes. So, if I had Cingular instead of Sprint I wouldn't go over my minutes.

Cingular does have a better plan, but Sprints connectivity is good.

Stay away from Sprint. Since they merged with Nextel, their customer service has really gone down the crapper. They have a ton of dropped calls and their phones are very expensive and the choices you get for phones are very limited. If you do decide to go with sprint, don't buy at the sprint store or off their website, you will probably pay double what you would somewhere else. Go to best buy first and price them, I got my wife's phone at best buy and save 150 bucks off the same phone I bought at the sprint store.

Cingular has a VERY bad reputation for being the worst company of all of them.

I would use T-Mobile before I would use any other nationwide company.
