I'm just kinda wondering something... I could care less if someone plays an insturment or not in a band.

Taking back sunday, Thursday, Say Anything(some acoustic stuff, but normally no) red Hot chilli peppers, saosin, my chemical romance, The Used, Incubus, rage against the machine, and that is all I can think of right now

why does it matter if the singer plays instruments or not?
some good bands that have an instrument playing singer are:
Metallica
Rush
Primus
Jimmi Hendrix
Some that don't:
Judas Priest
Slayer
Ozzie Osbourne
Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Anthrax
Pantera
That's just off the top of my head and all of those bands are Metal and Hard Rock though except for Rush. Listen to them though, they are all really good and if you listened to them you would probably like them

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Ronnie does play guitar, but generally not in their performances. The only time I've ever seen him play it is when they perform "My Guardian Angel"
My Chemical Romance - I'm not positive if Gerard plays or not, but I've never seen him play.
Saosin - I've never seen their lead singer play an instrument, though I could be wrong.

30 Seconds To Mars - I don't think Jared plays anything.
The Academy Is.. - William just sings.
Hinder - I don't know if Austin can play guitar or not..
The Killers? Maybe?

alternative, rock, pop punk, are g@y get into metal almost anykind of metal is good like Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Cradle of filth has a pretty good guitarist, Children of bodom, Soilwork is alright, sepultura, scorpions, iron maiden, megadeth, ozzy, opeth, Mago de oz, killswitch engage, blind guardian, gojira, guns & roses, full blown chaos, evergrey, ektomorf, dragonforce, brujeria, carcass, black label society (very good guitarist zakk wylde :) ), arch enemy, angra, and Amon Amarth I could name more but im too lazy lol
