Well, unfortunately...most pf the people on myspace (with alot of friends, comments, pic comments etc...) have some sort of gimmick...weather it's being a skinny "scene" kid or the next Forbidden or Tila Tequila.
But...one of the realest people I know is this chick names Sanaz. She's got over 100k and she still takes the time to comments pics and whatnot...well..,ines anyway.
Just remember...myspace is a place for people to take on a whole new persona...so...maybe you're just too much of a regular "Joe".
But you'll have to excuse me...most o my friends are white so the feedback i get from them may be different than yours.

I'm sorry, my friend, I have a myspace page, too, but I hardly ever go into it. The only reason I got it in the first place was cause my niece wanted me to join.
â¥
By the way, I went into your 360, did you draw the pics of the little girls, or are they your kids??
I like the other pic too. They are both awesome.
â¥
And the pic of the woman, she is beautiful. Who is she??

send out a bulletin to tell people to comment on your profile. they'll be like, OHHH YA I FORGOT ABOUT HIM!!! and they'll go right to it. Also, 32 friends isn't that many and maybe they don't log on frequently...the more friends you have on myspace= the more comments and messages and attention you get. You should still show your work on myspace (if you want), but another good site is zazzle.com. You can sell merchandise with your art on it....it's easy to create an account. good luck!

MySpace just isn't real. It's for posing and posturing.
My younger (& MySpace addicted) sister told me I would "be getting dates off MySpace if I had a cooler background picture". Ugh. Not to mention I wasn't trying to get dates off MySpace. Especially for a 'cool' background.
For posting art though, you might want to check out www.deviantart.com ... people actually care!

Yuh, from what I understand, MySpace used to be a good networking source, but the pervs and skanks have turned it into a hooking up arena...I guess, if push comes to shove, you can take your shirt off and sag your pants, that'll probably bring people to your page?
Also, if you're in art school, you can try Facebook.com, its a great way to network as well...
Good luck bro....

Because most people on myspace are there for a relationship. Because they can't find one in real life. Because they are a bit lame. And because the internet is fantasy land where you can make yourself seem a lot cooler than you are.
I say, you should be glad you're not ''hot'' in internet world, because it more than likely means you have it all in the real world!
Good luck with your artwork.

Just keep feeling good about what you're doing. The important thing is what you think about it. Maybe someday others will catch on. That's real.
Peace.
