I've been trying to watch this episode of Charmed, but I have to go to school... No VCR, only a DVD player so... what do I do?

Most won't let you record to a DVD. I think because once a program is digitized, it can be uploaded or copied which would be in violation of copyright laws. What not just leave it on the DVR? Or buy a VCR - you should be able to find a used one for cheap.

Only a DVD recorder can record to a DVD...

You have a few options;
the quick and obvious solution is to catch the episode on the net...Many fans offer digital copies of their fave episodes online...Do a Yahoo for "charmed TV series"

In the future, start shopping for a DVD recorder...Many can be found online for about $125-200, and blank DVDs average about $1 each.

You can also contact your TV service company for options...Cable companies offer Tivo service that will record shows while you're out, and satellite providers offer DVR service (Digital Video Recorder) for a small extra fee each month.

You can't "tape" on to a DVD. DVDs are like compact disks. They store information on a disk, not on a tape.

You need a DVD player that can also record. You need blank DVDs. Each DVD recorder is different, so you look in the manual or you ask your parents.

Hi : )
I personally am using a DVD Recorder to record my TiVo'd shows. I bought mine at Walfart (mart) for $79. It plays DVD's and you can hook most devices up to it to transfer them onto blank DVD's.

*Hope this helps....
