Y' u can use mspaint to free select cut the picture. to do this. Open mspaint and open the picture in it. Then click on "Free Form Select tool (looks like start, first icon). After that u will two new colorful icon at the bottom of left pane tool menu( boxes, cyls etcs) select first icon from bottom (which has no white surrounding) then go to ur picuter and click left mouse button and hold down and select what u want to cut.
after that release the mouse u will rect arround ur selection. Press Crtl +N and Paste this selection into it.

But i recommend u to use Photoshop or Gimp to do this.

Ouch, that will probably be a tough do. Depending on the quality of cut out you can probably make a detailed selection and cut using a polyagonal lasso. If you need something closer to actual you may need to work with color channels and make a highly detailed alpha mask. Using that mask you can make it a selection and cut out using that... That said, I'm not sure if you can do those in roxio... You might want to download Gimp (it's free) from http://www.gimp.org it will let you work with layers and stuff similar to Adobe Photoshop.

Search the "Help" part of your software for "crop" or "cropping"
