I am getting married in April and before we do my fiance is getting tested to see if he carries a gene for Cystic Fibrosis because I carry the gene, and it is recessive so if he doesn't carry it we can have kids and there is no chance they will get it, but if he does carry it we would have a 50% chance of having a kid with it. It is a horrible disease and most people that have it are lucky to live into their teens.
I would still marry my fiance even if he does carry it, we will just adopt. Maybe they should get tested for things like that.
