[(1-4x2)/(x2+7x+10)]+[(2x2+5x+2)/(x2+4x+4)]?

Question

i keep getting [(-2x-1)(x-6)]/[(x+5)(x+2)] but the answer says it is just (-2x-1)/(x+5). is my answer right or is the given answer right?

this may be written as (6x + 4x - 6) - (4x - 7x + 4) considering multiplication is associative 3x2 = 3*2*x = 6x and 2x2 = 2*x*2 = 4x combine words: (10x - 6) - (-3x + 4) 10x - 6 + 3x - 4 10x + 3x - 6 - 4 13x - 10
