I was going to try and put this together in my spare time, and sell it for $499 to make a small profit. I am a full time college student trying to make a little extra $.

Do you think that is a fair price and would you buy it?

For $500 thats a great PC.

If there is any constructive critisim it would be that the hard drive is a little small and the ram is a little older so it has slower speeds.

I would find a buyer before constructing one. Which shouldn't be hard. Good luck!

Would I buy it, hell no. Is it a fair price, not really. But you see I am pretty knowledgeable about computers, and I know that system is outdated and would be garbage for gaming. Fortunately for you, there are people like bubu, Joel Jr., and Sean S in the world, who clearly have no clue about computer components, and would be more than willing to buy it. So I would say go for it, you will definately be able to sell it, in fact you could probably get $600 out of it.

I'd definitely buy it. It's a sweet system for a good deal, plenty of power for a lot of the games out there today (and definitely for the games I play). With a GeForce video card with 256MB, There'd be no lag in my favorite games like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty.

I wouldn't buy it , cause it's low end, can't really play games on that.

But who is to tell you if it is fair.
If you find a person willing to give you 499$ for it , all the power to you. The big stores do it everyday, selling overpriced cheap stuff to ignorant people, so I say why can't you do it too!
