I used to find Mencia clever and funny, but he steps way over the line. I was watching his standup act on tv, with a friend who has mild cerebral palsy, and there was Mencia totally bashing on people with CP as if they are all mentally and physically useless. I changed the channel in disgust...

First of all, he doesn't bash ONLY people with CP. He bashes other races, sexes, cultures etc...INCLUDING HIMSELF AND HIS OWN ETHNIC BACKGROUND!!! Do you not listen or was your disgust ONLY because your friend who has mild CP was in the room with you? You really need to learn to listen to him when he speaks. He is a bold person, I do agree, but boldness is a lot more honest than someone who is worried about people getting their toes stepped on. Leave the man alone. Any comic who can make fun of themselves as much,if not more, as they do other people, races etc., are better than people who have to worry about being politically correct.

I think I saw that one. Cerebral Palsy is no laughing matter. But he takes humor to a new and different level. He makes ya think about what are these boundaries on what we say really for any way? Sometimes he gets a little racy, but I still like him. But I can admire the principle of what you're saying and what you did.

Carlos Mencia, as IMDB.com will tell you, is not, as he would lead you to believe, Mexican. Carlos Mencia is actually half-Honduran and half-German, therefore making him NOT a "beaner" and eliminating the five 5 minutes of his show's premiere. In fact, his real name is not even 'Carlos Mencia,' it's Ned Holness! It turns out (and I'm not making this up, although it sounds like something out of a Chappelle's Show sketch) that the owner of the Comedy Store (located in Los Angeles) decided that Ned's name needed to (and I quote) "sound more Mexican," so he came up with a new name for poor Ned, the fake-Mexican, half-German, horrible comedian.

Let me get this straight. When CM makes fun of blacks, hispanics, whites, native americans, and asians, you laugh your *** off but when he makes fun of people with mental handicaps you get offended and "change the channel in disgust "? Give me a freakin break man. Your friend should be ashamed of himself.
