In spite of all the crappy plotless movies that are out these days, selling a movie idea is pretty hard to do. What may turn out to be the easiest way for you to do it is to turn your idea into a novel. If it is published it is much easier to option into a movie - you already have a built-in audience if it is sucessful. Or you can try to make friends with an A list movie star (but if you do, pass along the number, will ya?)

You can't sell just an idea. You need to write a screenplay first. If necessary, you can hire a writer to put your ideas down on paper.

Once you have the script written, you'll need to sell it to a producer.
