Wow! I dont know where to start.

This one should suffice for now.

It is a fasicanting read, a true story that reads like a Hollywood film: The Falcon and the Snowman by Robert Lindsey.

You won't regret it.

P.s. There is also a sequel to this book which is almost as good called The flight of the Falcon.

P.s. Check out anything and everything by Frank Mccourt.

on the historical fiction front, SHOGUN by James Calvell is fun, interesting and has a lot of real world info in it.

Factual : I recommend just about **anything** by
Bill Bryson
David Attenborough
Michael Palin (yes, the Monty Python guy - he's done a number of trips around the world for the BBC and the books based on his diaries are very good.)

I'm reading "12 Books that Changed the World" by
Melvyn Bragg, I think you'd learn from those great books, how they changed the world and, more importantly, how each author got the idea and wrote his/her volume.
