In the Arms of an Angel...

by: Sarah Mclachlan.

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There's always some reason
To feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh, beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

~ * ~ * ~

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

~ * ~ * ~

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference
Escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness
Oh, this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

~ * ~ * ~

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
In the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

~ * ~ * ~ * ~

I am so very sorry for your loss. That is such a young age. I found, when my parents died, that the funeral home would allow the family to choose music that the person would have liked. Think of songs that your friend enjoyed or that the two of you both liked and play those. Again, I am so sorry for you :(

Turn of the Century or Wonderous Stories by Yes. Both can be found on the album "Going For the One". My sympathies for your loss. Losing anyone with such finality is hard enough, but to lose someone so young; at this time in your lives, is the truest example of how cruel life can be sometimes. Remember the good times. Embrace them; cherish them, and keep those memories alive.

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. Do a search on the lyrics. It is the most beautiful song I have ever heard!! This is a must! Clapton wrote it for his son who died at the age of 4, in 1991.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend...how heartbroken I'm sure you are. I'll keep you and his family in my prayers.

There's a couple:

Tonight I wanna Cry - keith urban
What Hurts The Most - Mark Wills

There's another one that I dont know the name of but I know part of the lyrics are "meet me on the other side..." I wish I knew the name of it because it is about meeting someone in heaven later on in life.........

My sympathies to you & yours, the young man's family, and all of his classmates as well. Our community was hit this past fall with the passing of two teens as well - so my heart goes out to you and everyone where you are at. Be strong and know he is in a much better place. Thoughts & prayers to you.....

Omg...I have the perfect song.
James Blunt -- Goodbye My lover.

It is perfect for this situation and could also go out to his family, too. Also, all his friends. Listen to it I promise you will like it. And by that I mean the WHOLE song! If you like it, please vote as to best answer for me, so i know if you liked it and went with it.
