how do i find the number that must be added to x^2+24x to make it a perfect trinomial?

Divide the 24 by 2 to get 12 and then
square that to get 144.
Trinomial is x^2 + 24x + 144 = (x + 12)^2.

The annwer is +144.
add that to the end.

this will make the perfect "binomial" of (x+12)^2

xÂ²+24x
=xÂ²+24x+(12)Â²-12Â²
=(x+12)Â²-144
144 i guess.
