My hubby is a slick one...claiming no income since 2004. We own a 1.5 million home (equity= 1.2million). Problem...he has hand in Italian family business...yikes...half of his family has the same name...so its so easy to interchange credit cards, etc. HUbby is living it up. We have 2 children on autism spectrum...I have to fight the needs in court... Everything involves tons of court motions. My attorney is very expensive to fight his expensive attorney...but my head is going under soon...running out of funds....so far no support...he is starving us out. I am tired...it is tough enough to keep children balanced let alone go into court fighting over the gray areas of autism. I know money exists, how do I find it. How do you find out of state and overseas money? I am asking judge to force him to authorize a credit report..this is not enough...how do I REALLY find out what is going on? HELP!!!
Please...give me the streets smarts version!!!!

Money and assets can be "hidden" in many ways. Many of them are legal. It is unfortunate that wives to not make sure they are financially taken care of in case something happens. Most rely on their husbands until it is too late. Much information is a matter of public record and can be tracked. If property was given to a family member while you were married, etc. you can trace that. Your divorce degree should state all of his holdings. Look for others. With a good financial planner it may be appropriate that he does not have to claim income. Without a set of his books, it would be difficult to tell. If a person decided to cut off another, it is very difficult to get the information you are looking for. You may have to find other ways he is breaking the law and turn him in. Be prepared to pay for the problems you cause. It may be better to move on and let him and his family worry about his immortal soul.

So sorry to hear that. I Have been in the same sort of situation for the past 3 1/2 years. Get yourself a hand recorder, something portable and record a conversation you will have with him. Talk to him about his financial situation, don't be too nice, he'll suspect something. But play the victim, how he's living the high life while you and the kids are broke.... Just have him admit things. Trust me, he doesn't like giving his money to lawyers either. Even if he has more then you. If that is not admissable in court, then send the recording tothe IRS. Make him suffer a little. It's not fair that he is getting away with it. And don't worry, you are not being a b*tch, he needs to take responsibility. Also, don't depend on him. You'll most likely have to do it all on your own. You'll make it. You will.
Talk to your lawyer about recording him first. It needs to be done right. What about his parents, do they know what's going on. I'm sure they wouldn't let their grandchildren suffer?
Good luck,

Thats a tough one.
Personally I would arrange a meeting with him and take the children. Say "Here you go" and leave the kids with him.
How else are you going to be able to affodr the care they need? He has money let him do it
