First off, Julia Roberts is not pregnant, that was during the last movie and she did it. Second, the reason she is not in this one because the plot does not need her. The boys are focusing on their general robbery and such, but this movie is focusing on Linus' (or Matt Damon's character) love life. Therefore, the movie needs a girl for him and not Julia Roberts or Catherine Zeta-Jones.

the real reason behind it was because Julia was angry and throwing fits on the set of Oceans 12 because Catherine Zeta-Jones had better hair and costumes.
