I was wondering how remote car key works, Does it have batteries?

Remote Key Fobs as some call them do have batteries in them they also have a transmitter as well. The battery life is about the same as that on the motherboard of a computer to back up the bios info.

yep and some have batteries that don't come as a single pack so when the car key thing goes dead you have to buy like 5-9 of the batteries just to get one

If there's a image sensor on the main important then putting it interior the sunlight will resolve the topic. If there isn't any sensor then ---convinced there's a battery. there's a danger that the main important button is incorrect.

Yes , it has a battery or batteries. Some have 12VDC batteries. You will have to pry it open to find the battery or batteries.

i mechanic for a living,,and yes most of them do,,its a small 3-volt one,,but yes most of them do,,good luck hope this help,s.

My "fob" has two in each one...one for the door locks and one specifically for the alarm...
