i love them both. Devlin was in my last 3 names actually for my son. People talk crap about my son's name, Kameron Nicholai. "why did you name him that, your not russian...and its misspelled...." Whatever. Your children, your choice of names. Others should get over it.

Xavior, I assume Xavier? I like it, it's the name of my university. Pantera? Are you serious? You named your daughter after a heavy metal band? Does she have cousins Metallica and Slayer?
I'm sorry, I know Pantera has a meaning, but its NOT the first thing most people under the age of oh, 40 think of.
Ivory is very beautiful.
I'm all about names that are different, but also gotta look out for how much the name lends itself to being made fun of.

I think it's ridiculous for you to think that people "cut down" your children's names "just because it isn't a Jason or Jennifer".
Xavior is an awesome name, I love the meaning behind it.
Pantera is a band, not a name. I don't dislike it because it is not Jennifer, I tend to favor unusual and underused names. But that doesn't mean I like metal bands being used as girls names. No need to put down people who like names with history, meaning, and non-music connotations by acting like we are boring.
That's my honest opinion.

I like Xavior Devlin Scott because they sound like real names (I hope 'Xavior' is pronounced the French way of Zav-i-er instead of the lazy X-av-i-er). Also, your son has the option of calling himself the very normal 'Scott' if he wants a name that will help him blend in.
I feel sorry for your daughter though. A name that starts with 'Pant' just reminds me of a child who will need those karate lessons early in life if she intends to survive the playground. You just know kids of four to ten years of age will be nick-naming her 'Pants'. And the poor child doesn't even had a 'normal' middle name to choose from.

Xavior Devlin Scott is a good name. but your daughter I think she might get teased Im sorry thats a ghetto name but your sons middle name sounds like Devil so you . Not to say that yo were buut most parents think of there kids names when there younger, but when they start school you didn' think about hem then. Think of today satisfaction, but not tomorrows consquences.

I think the only thing that matters is that you love your own child's name. Women spend most of their lives picking out names that they want to give to their future children. If it means something special to you then it is a great name. By the way they aren't that bad!

I was recently at a resume class and the speaker discussed the topic of names. It was said that an obscure name can possibly prevent someone from getting a job. A study was done and it was proven even when the person was qualified their name prevented them from landing the job.
Good luck to your lil ones.

I like your son's name. Its unique.
Your daughter's name is cool and unique too, but I think it would be better if you switched Ivory and Pantera around.
I like Ivory Pantera Athene more than Pantera Ivory Athene...just my opinion

i'm not cutting down the names because they must be names that you carefully chose for your children, the pride , joy and love of your life. hopefully they will be able to go through life with a pride instillled by you from the beginning that will allow them to overcome any grief that may receive from peers. it isn't just the name that makes a person, it's who they are inside that counts.
