you should tell your parents if not the feeling will never go away, i had depression for 6 years and just recently ive gotten over it with help from alot of people. talk to your closest friend and get a therapist and youll probably need prozac or some kind of medicine. start working out or start a sport because exercise helps alot. but just tell someone how your feeling when you get it out it feel like a weights been lifted off your shoulders itll take some time but i hope youll find all the happiness in the world.

Carl...seriously, time to grow up! I'm 39 and yes, my life was miserable growing up...but it's not an excuse for my life today. Find a good therapist and start going on a regular basis...deal with whatever happened in your past. Include exercise on a daily basis...yes, it makes a difference. The only way things will get better is if you work hard at making things better...it will take time and effort on your part. Good luck...

Find something absolutely bizarre to do. Decide you are going to climb Mt. Everest; run an ultra-marathon; walk across Asia. Whatever. Find some improbable dream or goal and then set to work on it. Heck, if you're going to end up shoving a gun down your throat, you might as well do something amazing before hand. And my guess is, that finding passion for something will have you forgetting about the gun, the pills, and everything else.

Hi Carl. Get thee to a therapist. These people specialize in dealing with depression.
Exercise is a sure cure...but temporary. When you're feeling down, walk around the block, do some sit ups or push ups.
Some depressions come on because we make the mistake of comparing ourselves with others. Life isn't made for comparisons. I am what I am, you are what you are. We're not in competition. You're not in competition with anybody. You can learn to focus on yourself, to accept yourself as you are and to honor and respect yourself. When you learn to accept yourself without judgment, then you will learn how to pull yourself out of depression and enjoy life. Living is really a lot of fun. Good luck.

Try exercise. Our moods have a lot to do with our physical health and activity levels. I've had good results.

Find a really good therapist who is skilled at working with hard to reach individuals.

Also... diet and exercise. Seriously.
