New Middle East Policy?

I have an idea. Why don't we pull all of our interests out of the middle east and let them govern themselves without any of our intervention. BUT, the second anyone from that region performs another terrorist attack on the US or our allies, we annhialate the country of origin by dropping a big one and turining it into a big slab of glass, settling it, take all their resources and rename it "America II"
