I can't give you exact statistics, but I know doctors often recommend using a second form of birth control for the first month or two after a woman starts the Pill, just to be sure it fully kicks in before you throw away the condoms!
Naturally, there is a chance -- however miniscule! -- that she could be pregnant. Even if the Pill was working, no form of birth control is foolproof. Women do get pregnant even if they are on the Pill and taking it correctly (although the incidence of this is very small, according to what the manufacturers will tell you).
You can get E.P.T. tests that can tell you a couple of days before her period is due whether or not there is a pregnancy. Other tests require that she miss a period first. If you want to be totally sure, talk to a doctor about doing a blood test.

Your girlfriend should be covered by her birth control pill after 1 month so long as she has been taking it regularly & hasn't forgotten to take any or taken them late. Just ask her. As for a pregnancy test - if you are still worried do one if her period is late as before this it may not be accurate.

well, heres your answer..Birth control doesnt totally 100% take effect like in your system until 6 months of being on it. I was taking mine every single day & I am now 5 months pregnant and I was on mine for 2 years it doesnt matter sometimes it just doesnt work...if your really scared that she might be pregnant...maybe you shouldnt have had unprotected sex even if it was that short...one little drop is all it takes...trust me I know..like I said...Im 5 months along. Best of luck

slim to none.
i've been on bc for the past ohh i dont know like year and my fiance and i have unprotected sex all the time and i've never ended up prego.
dont be nervous though if she doesn't have a period this month or is late. generally with new bc it takes a few months to regulate her period.
if your worried about it, wait until she's getting ready to start a new pack (she'll know what i'm talking about) and take a test.

depending on what kind of birth control and if she is taking it right you shouldn't be worried because the chances are very low if she is using the birth control right. wait two weeks and take a test and no matter what that on says wait another two weeks and take another on

A month isn't long enough... there is always a chance of pregnancy, even with her using the pill for a longer time. Time to put on a glove, bud.

She might desire to be nice. yet you're meant to apply a back up approach for the 1st 30 days on new start administration, or if the prescription ameliorations, or if she takes any drugs (like antibiotics) that shrink the effectiveness of the pill.
