sorry to ask in this category. I figured I'd get a better response in here.

There was an incorrect post in here. It's 7.50 for California for 2007 and it will be $8.00 in 2008, we are not in 2008 yet.

Minimum Wage in OHIO is $6.85.... Home Pride bread is .99 cents a loaf. a dozen of large eggs are also 99 cents.... Milk averages $2.26 a gallon. Kroger has their sales alot so you can get a half gallon of milk for $1. Bananas are 49 cents a pound. Butter is like $1.25.
You can find a nice 2 bdrm 1 bth apt here for around $465 a month. And think about it you will be a buckeye!!!! lol... Go Bucks!!!

I live in Amarillo, TX, federal min. wage is $5.15, but nobody pays anyone less than $5.25, our convenience store chain (like 7-11) starts out at $7.50.
I moved here in 1992 from Huntington Beach,CA, by the prices you listed, I'm glad I did! I went shopping at the WalMart supercenter earlier, I filled my tank up for $2.16 a gal, my milk was $2.99, my butter split top bread was $1.24 a loaf, my 18ct eggs was $1.08 (usually about $1.79), I didn't buy bananas but I'm pretty sure they were $0.59 lb, and I live in a darling complex (50 units), 2 bdr, 1 1/2 bath, cathedral ceilings, fireplace, $625 mo util incl. I live comfortably on less than $1200 mo

I live in a small town in Southern Illinois, (I live sort of close to Saint Louis, Missouri to give you an idea.) Here we just voted to make min. wage $ 7.50, it was $6.50. I don't know about Home Pride bread, but the Sara Lee bread that I buy goes for $1.88(?) Most bread here is cheaper, but that is the brand I like. Eggs cost about $0.79 for 1- 12 carton, and bananas are about $0.49 for a pound. A two bedroom, one bath, nice apartment would be maybe $300-$500. (I own my house, 2bed, 1 bath, pretty nice, and mortgage is $300.)

In Minneapolis, Minnesota - miniumum wage is $5.25-$6.15 (depending on the size of the company)

I don't think we have that brand of bread. But plain white, store brand bread is about $1.25 - but the brand name stuff can be as much as $4.00.

A dozen eggs is usually under one dollar

Bananas were $0.59/lb last time I bought them.

In the city, a 2bdrm 1 bth apt would be anywhere from $750-$1500, depending on the neighborhood. The farther from the city you go, the cheaper they get.

Median Income is $55,914

Gas was $2.08 last time I saw a sign (Saturday, I think)
