Lung cancer, since It's worse than smoking cigarettes. There is no filter, and you hold the smoke in your lungs for longer periods. Also, you become lazy and slow. It doesn't all happen at once, but slowly you start to speak and think slower than normal. That whole stoner thing used to be cool in college, but now it's just stupid.

I hope all these people aren't serious about their answers .If they are they have been reading to much DEA false propaganda .
The only long term affects from it are from the tars that build up in your lungs as in smoking cigarettes .There is an evaporator that many people use now that doesn't burn the pot .It just heats it up to where the THC evaporates out of it . Its like a fog or steam that elliminates the harmful affects it has on your lungs .Although I dont smoke myself any more .I did for about 20 years every day . I can tell you ,I researched the affects of it very thouroughly . I still have friends that smoke . It may have a paraniod affect on some people when they first use it . I can say that it could be therapudic to calm people that have violent tendacies or to help calm people that are hyperactive .But it is not addictive and it doesn't make people lazy .It is no differant than any drug .If some one has never drank alcohol before .They can get tipsy on just one or 2 beers .Where as some one that drinks one or 2 beers after work every evening .Wouldn't even be able to feel the affects . I know there is alot of phony exagerated government propaganda out there .(Is there anything our government is honest about) I know from experience .I know Dr's and lawyers and people from all walks of life who smoke pot .Even Bill Clinton took one hit ,but he didn't inhale.(yeah right ) I can tell you its a crime for some one to have cancer or be termilly ill and not be free to use what ever eleviates their illness and makes them feel better . Much less be arrested for something as harmless as pot. That does have to do with politics .

But serious...I haven't had any effect from using back in the 70's and 80's .
But that's not to say the more potent stuff out on the market today wouldn't being it's been genetically altered to enhance ones great feeling.

Conviction! That means a permanent record of a drug conviction that will screw up your chances on a real job for life.

Secondly if you use drugs to avoid reality you will never have to deal with life's experiences. Thus you never mature.

Life's experiences become our base for wisdom, if you go through these experiences in an altered state you will never gain the wisdom of those experiences.

Besides you look really stupid giggling at everything.

Don't get me wrong I've tried the herb, it may have it's place but using it frequently, or to avoid reality can cause a severe lack of maturity.

I don't want this to turn into a big arguement but this is something to ponder. I know a man that smoked cigs for 12 years and he died because of it. I know a man that has smoked weed for atleast 30 years and he is completely fine and still living.

A desire to raid the refrigerator... short spouts of happiness...laid back and friendly personality. I've never met a stoner I didn't like and I don't smoke it.
