Oh my, there are so many. In Minneapolis you can try Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun. Great path around the lakes and beautiful homes. In St. Paul, go to Como Lake. It has the Como Park Zoo and the conservatory. Lake Vadnis is also very pretty.

there are literally dozens,all with their own identity,so it all depends on what you are looking to do, they all have public acess,most all have walking/bking paths around them , all have public boat launches,although some of the smaller ones restrict themselves to non mororized watercraft....you are bound to find one that suits your intrests.
