You're right.
Racism will never go away.
But calling white people racists isn't helping the situation.
I'm Black, and you're alright with me Lenoire.

I understand your point and respect where you are coming from, but perhaps "you white racists" was refering to those racists that were white, not that all whites are racists.
I don't think anyone really believes only whites are racist because that is just so blatently untrue. I think people really know deep down that all races possess the capacity for racism.
As for paying for things that are in the past, well...lets just say that its not in the past if people are still dealing with the fall out from them. If we're honest, we have to admit that the income distribution in this country favors the majority over the minority, that the school systems and health care systems favor those with higher income potential and because this country blocked minorities from going after their share, that there is a disparity and that people would be angry about that. Of course, there are those who perceive minorities as having every opportunity and that they are taking from the majority more than they deserve.
While I do think that there is a blame white people sentiment often when there are things that fall under individual responsiblity, I think there is often too much of a dismisal of the issues that minority groups face. Its really interesting when you think of this, wherever there is a major minority group in America, they are known as "the problem". Such as in Texas, Mexicans are the group that are thought of as causing the trouble, the crimes, the drains on resources. In the Deep South, it’s Blacks, in the MidWest, it’s the Native Americans, on the West, its Asians and Hispanics. That is no coincidence. I think we have to acknowledge racism exists on all sides. I think people have to look at what they do today to contribute to it.
I agree with you, we are so much more alike than different. I think the issue is this, whites, blacks, asians, hispanics, jews, we all just don't dialouge with one another enough, and people get so angry. I think we all just need to try to spend a little time in one another's shoes.

Generally, when someone specifies "White racist," they don't mean that all Whites are racists. Probably they are separating, and speaking generally to White racists as opposed to racists of other races.
Sadly, racism does exist, and although it is shared amongst people of all races it is felt most deeply by Blacks, from Whites. If you don't feel that you are a racist person, that's great. The world would be more beautiful with people like that.
Additionally, please show me this world where you live where racism towards Blacks is in the past. I would like to visit it someday.

It's the bullshit that's implanted in your mind from living in America.. Example Black associated with poor, ghetto, good
athlete, Asian well disciplined, less emotional, Jew - Money
oriented and selfish, Native American - uneducated Alcoholic Arab - a terrorist, you get the picture
these are just some of the bullshit we all have heard during
the years we are growing up. For some reason if you hear
it enough, even if you don't believe it's true it's embedded in the
back of your mind but we still all know it's a racist remark. This
is the way marketing products are used. The more you hear
it, sooner or later you have to refer to it, even if you don't believe
it. The problem is trying to clean all the trash from our minds.
If we could do this , surely we would all be better people and
get along together.

its a problem we face in the US, but its our changing culture, for the longest time we oppressed the blacks for a very long time. We have given blacks slavery, injustice, unkindness, unequal rights. At this time, blacks use what we call the Racist card, its used back to us of what a lot of white people in our history of our culture has done. Will this ever end? I don't know, but I think we all need to look at other countries where different races exist and that there are no prejudices to each other because of physical looks, its a lesson that we have a difficult time in our culture to overcome, so for now we have whites that are racist but some black citizens have their own form of racist making us all feel giulty inside that we have intentions to look at a black person with hate, but many of us don't hate someone because of how someone looks but some people will put that into our faces that this is how we are inside.

You are responding to my question which you did not understand, if you are not racist I WAS NOT TALKING TO YOU! My question was direct towards people who point the finger and start asking questions like "Why do black women give their children weird names?" In my question I was referring to some guy who responded to a question on "Why aren't the KKK considered a terrorist group?" Instead of answering the questin he wanted to throw in that the Black Panthers are terrorist if the KKK is which I didn't see the need for that comparison. There are also questions like the one where the guy wants to know what can be done about all the rampant ****** crime. You became offended not knowing where I was coming from. At least I had the decency to respond to you by explaining myself instead of jumping the gun and telling you to shut up like you did me. To answer your question this "person" doesn't automatically believe that whites are racist. I happen to judge people by their character not the color of the skin. My laptop doesn't show me color but reading the text posted here does show me character. Peace and Blessings!!

I understand what you're saying and I agree - discrimination against any skin colour is wrong. But maybe you're being a bit sensitive here - if the question referred to "you white racists" then they were addressing the question specifically to racists. If it had have been addressed to "you white people" and then accused the above of racism. THEN there would be a highly discriminatory/racist tone to question as it would be implying all whites are racist.
If you're not a racist, then ignore the question as it doesn't apply to you!

The people who think that only caucasians are racists are racists themselves. And, you're right; I don't believe anyone is a 'pure' race. I, myself, am a mix between Cherokee Indian, Caucasian, and God knows what else. I don't see why race should matter anyway; it's simply the colour/look of the outer skin. It doesn't define a person.

I call it reverse racisim and it can be just as bad as racisim itself. I have personally been a victim of this, complete strangers started calling at me and I narrowly avoided a fight; it was all because they assumed I thought I was better than them. Someday I hope all such problems are gone, but for now we have to work to enlighten one person at a time. Peace.

It's because the Civil Rights industry has deemed anyone that disagrees with them, a racist.
Can you imagine what it would be like, to use the color of your skin, as an excuse for any thing bad that happens to you? Pathetic, but that is what it's become.
